A preliminary and partial inventory of potential and identified brownfields sites in the region has been conducted and are shown below. We invite residents of Blackford, Delaware, Grant and Jay counties to submit potential brownfields sites which we have not been identified in the inventory. Please send us the location of the site (county, city, street or other location identifiers, plus former uses and current uses of the site/facility. Include most recent owners – if known. All submissions will be confidential. Advise why you think the site may qualify as a brownfield. Sites will be informally reviewed to determine eligibility for inclusion in the Brownfields Inventory List. Email potential sites to Contact@energize-ecirpd.org, or to Contact@eci-brownfields.org. Given the limited resources and distressed economic conditions of this region, numerous abandoned sites and buildings remain vacant, a blight on the local landscapes, and potential threats to the health and welfare of their local communities. The ECI Brownfields Coalition approach can aid in mitigating this problem.
